Replaces factory tool EN-49826
Special tool for holding the fuel/injection pump drive sprocket so that the toothed belt drive sprocket can be locked to loosen, the fuel pump can be removed WITHOUT removing the toothed belt or adjusting the timing.
Instruction:
Contrary to the repair manual, we recommend setting the engine to TDC, because the toothed belt is not completely removed, but loosened. We also recommend color marking the toothed belt on the drive pulley. Expose the fuel pump and remove the upper toothed belt cover. Attach, align and secure the retainer lock. The central screw can be loosened and the drive wheel removed, mark the position of the pump in relation to the housing (tongue and groove).
The pump can now be removed. The retaining lock remains in place. When installing the pump, make sure the mounting tool is properly engaged in the drive wheel, check the marks, tongue and groove, and tighten the center bolt to 50 NM (follow manufacturer's instructions).
